Hena Ahmed Shanti Nibash inaugurated

Almost 7% of the Bangladesh population consists of senior citizens and the number is increasing day-by-day. According to National Policy on Older Persons 2013 and United Nations, any person at or above 60 years of age is considered as a senior citizen. A significant portion of this population cannot live with their families for various reasons. In order to ensure their care, proper dignity, scopes for appropriate entertainment and adequate health checkups, Hena Ahmed Shantinibash has been established in the Alampur village in Hasara Union of Sreenagar Upazilla, Munshiganj.
Hena Ahmed Shanti Nibash was inaugurated on 22 June’2019. President of Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) Kazi Rafiqul Alam and donor Ms. Hena Ahmed & Mr. Shafique Ahmed inaugurated the Shantinibash. Before the inauguration, a discussion meeting was organized where DAM Secretary Dr. SM Khalilur Rahman, Executive Director Dr. M. Ehsanur Rahman, Ms. Hena Ahmed, Mr. Shafique Ahmed and DAM Health Sector Director Mr.Iqbal Masud delivered the speech. Alhaj Abdur Razzak, Vice President of Central Ahsania Mission offered Munajat. After inaugurating all the guests moved around all the rooms and see the facilities. Hope this Shanti Nibash will fulfill the need of secured and healthy accommodation of senior citizen.
